Meet Our Chef

Omar Kenyi Tomatani Arellano

He was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco on July 1, 1989. His first contact with the kitchen was at the age of 15 in a family project where he was in a simple Japanese restaurant in downtown Guadalajara.

With the hunger and the desire to know more about the gastronomy, he embarked on a trip at the age of 18 to the city of San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Sur, where he worked in different hotels in the area until being integrated in 2009 at Team of the Casianos restaurant in San José del Cabo. This is where he developed his skills acquiring experience and working hand in hand with Chef Casiano Reyes, owner of the company, who gave him the great opportunity to work in different projects of the company like Itakate, banqueting company and Violli restaurant specialized in Oaxacan food.

He had the opportunity to work in the G20 where he participated directly in the preparation of breakfast, lunch and dinner for the presidents and presidents of much of the world. Likewise, in the banqueting area has had the opportunity to attend different celebrities who visit Los Cabos. After the passage of the years he took over the banqueting company and after the kitchen of the restaurant Casianos in San José del Cabo where he has had the opportunity to polish his skills and attitudes that have given him a great opportunity of growth putting him to the front Of the Casianos Restaurant and banquets the Itakate in Riviera Nayarit.
